Do I Love It? I do Love my China!

When I shop and I love to shop, I have a rule I use- Do I love it or can I resell it? I am confused that I haven't used that with the house. If I dont love it, dont use it (keeps me from throwing the washer out cause I HATE it), or cant sell it. It is going away. I also have to be careful that it items that I love not items that someone has given me and I love them. I am wondering how I will feel when I hit 1000 items?

Where Tyler and I cleaned out the food storage I have room to move my china to a better place, Wes is helping me with that today.

1. Perfume Bottle- Empty???  I dont know....  it has been here a while.

2. Plastic hanger- donated, Dont judge it has been a long week and every piece counts!

3. Old Cd- kids are too old and it is scratched, to the trash we go!

4. Tea, it has been up there for at least a year!  OMG

5. to 10. Was cleaning out the back of a cabinet and found 5 bottles of liquor. From another life. Didn't stop to take a picture went straight to the trash.

But Saturday is sleep day!!!

The only night of the week that I "work" so I like to sleep Saturday. I am still going to do my 10 items...  at least I know I want to keep everything in my makeup box.
Thanks to my wonderful son, I have a few things in reserve for days like this! He helped me clean a ton on old food storage items out of my pantry.  So on I am going to count those on my chaos days or sick days!  This is one of both.

The strange thing about dealing with 50 items is that you really cant see the difference because I am working in some of the hidey holes. I wonderful thing about it is that I know it is gone and it feels better in the house.

Two packages out the door today!  I love it when my stuff sells on auctions. I think I am running on empty today. I can party like a Rock Star but I do need some sleep. I am so happy tomorrow is Saturday so I can sleep in. I am in super slow mode but I am moving!

Trauma

I have hoarders playing while I go thru things in the house. One theme that comes up is major trauma. It seems to trigger the hoarding in some people. Looking at my life it could be seen as one Big trauma. I don't look at it that way any more. I look at as I was given challenges to survive. There is not much that can scare me any more. I was given the gift of freedom in the form of nightmares. I paid the price now going to ride the fun rides. Now whatever is left of the nightmares needs to let go and the clutter is becoming a symbol of that.  Bring on the next 10 things.

Yes 10 more things, I think I dream about it in my sleep. I am going to make myself stick with it for 28 days. Can you tell I have been addicted to something before! Vodka is my poison. If I can live without that, I can live without clutter.

Off and running again, well off and limping. I give up- summer is never coming to Oklahoma. Waking up to 27 degrees and it is almost April? At least it turned into a nice day after surviving the freezing morning!

10 Items a Day??? Are ya Kidding??

 Yes, I am still looking for a de-clutter plan that will work for me. Let's try this one! 10 items a day. I am sure I can find 10 pieces of paper that I dont need. I wish my inner 2 year old would not come out when I try to do these things, MINE. The stuff is mine even if it is taking over the house. Hey look- 10 pennies I think I can handle that~

It helped a lot that I had hoarders playing in the background while I was working. 10 things really doesn't make much of a difference when you look around but it changes the way you look at things. Now it is almost like a game. When I am walking around the house I find myself looking at things saying to myself, can I get rid of that. With just having a 10 item goal it is not so overwhelming.

Also did the food shopping for the week- took us 21 minutes in Crest. Rhi is going to have to start pushing that cart faster!!!
